Storybots crochet soft toys

And here is another great show that we have been watching.
We started with the “Storybots Super Songs” and then moved onto the “Ask the Storybots” series.
The Songs episodes are still my favourite format.
The characters are quite unique and I really like the humour… yes I know what you must be thinking… but is she saying she watches a kids show?! Yap I do enjoy watching it and singing along… what can I say!
I guess it’s nice that I can share the experience with my son without being bored 🙂
Also in terms of free printables this show has the number one spot in my printer! Their printables are simply AMAZING and free! I have seen paid stuff with half the quality or less. If like me you like free printables you simply have to check their resources.
They have things grouped in printable activity books and there’s colouring pages, dot to dot, letter tracing, word finding, ABCs ,animals, numbers, shapes. And activities for every occasion from Xmas, Halloween to birthdays and Father’s Day. ?

I just love it! And I love the characters…

So of course it wasn’t long before I decided to make the toys.
With these, my main motivation is that I think they can become great marionetes although I haven’t tested my theory yet. I have just made the toys but intend at some point to make them into marionettes by attaching strings to arms, legs and the head. That’s why in my version I wanted the mouth to have a great ability to open and move freely.
So far they have just been played with as they are but I will post an update once I make them into marionettes.
If you would like the crochet pattern for the toys please check my Etsy shop. And don’t forget the printables!

If by some strange reason you haven’t seen the show and are reading this post… you can watch it on Netflix or Youtube.
